LOGISTICS

Art. 1 – The competition will take place in Naples at the “Casa della Musica Federico I (Palaparthenope)” theatre on November 26, 2017.

Art. 2 – Depending on the number of choreographies registered, the schedule will be settled, indicating the times and the running order of the competition. The schedule will be available the day of the competition.

Art. 3 – This schedule will also be available in the changing rooms so that the entrances of all the choreographies can be coordinated, avoiding the waste of time and long pauses. Every group, duo or soloist must be getting ready waiting in the backstage during the previous choreography so that they are ready for their own performance.

Art. 4 – Upon arrival on the theatre, the coordinator of each group (or the soloist dancers) must collect the entrance PASS, timetable, schedules and various notices. The group leader must go immediately to the hall where the competition will be held and hand the CD to the personnel responsible for the sound checking and each company/soloist/dance couple, once in the wings, will have to apprise Spettacolando’s Staff of his/their presence and deliver, three exhibition before the one of his/her school/dancer, the CD of the performance to the music direction station (which will be located right near the stage).

There might be an entrance ticket for the audience of €10,00 for each spectator (€5,00 for children below a metre of height).

Art. 5 – Each participant will have to follow the running order unless in exceptional and unavoidable circumstances. Spettacolando’s organizing committee will be responsible for promptly communicating information regarding any change to the sequence of entry on stage.

Art. 6 – The competition is open to: Dance Groups; Dance Couples; Soloists

SECTIONS

Art. 8 – The choreographies, due to the specific nature or main technique, will be grouped into the following sections: classical ballet; modern/contemporary dance; hip-hop; choreographic composition.

REGISTRATIONS

Art. 9 – The registration must be made by filling in the electronic application form on the website: https://giovanitalentifestival.it . A registration form must be filled in for each choreography.

Art. 10 –The Registration Form must be filled in within November 20, 2017; within the same day, a copy of the receipt of payment (which can be made by bank transfer or by PostePay) must be sent at the email address: giovanitalenti@hotmail.com

THE VALIDATION OF THE 50% DISCOUNTED ACCESSES, WON DURING THE WINTER EDITION OF THE DANCE COMPETITION, MUST BE MADE WITHIN AND NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 23, 2017, BY:

SENDING AN EMAIL WHICH CONFIRMS THE VALIDATIONS OF THE ACCESSES
FILLING IN THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM AND CLICKING ON THE BOX : “50 % ACCESS”
PAYING REDUCED QUOTAS

Art. 11 – The organisation reserves itself the right to close registrations upon reaching a maximum number of entries and to reject registrations that arrive late, are incorrectly filled in or not signed properly.

Art. 12 – Entry fees:

• for each soloist: € 40,00

• for each dance couple/duo: €70,00

• for each group (3 dancers or more) €25,00 (the quota is intended for each dancer)

Only for the Category “Baby”: for this category, if the dancer belongs to a group (3 dancers or more), the fee for each dancer is of €20,00

Art. 13 – The registration fees are not refundable for any reason.

Art. 14 – The organisation reserves itself the right to close registrations upon reaching a maximum number of entries and to reject registrations that arrive late, are incorrectly filled in or not signed properly.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT

Art 15 – In the event of failure to reach a minimum number of participants, the organisation reserves the right to unite and/or eliminate the categories.

CHOREOGRAPHIES

Art. 16 – The theme of the choreographies is free; The costumes to be used in the choreography are free but must be appropriate. The stage must be kept clean by the participants. The use of talcum powder on the stage and on the body is forbidden as well as fire, candles and any liquids.

Art. 17 – The only objects allowed on stage are scenery and props necessary to the performance of the choreography and they must be brought on and carried out by the contestants or their own assistants (they must be easy to carry and not excessively large).

Art. 18 – If the duration of the choreography must exceed the limits mentioned in the next article, the instrumental track can be faded out and the President of the panel of judges can penalize the choreography.

Art. 19 – The maximum time for performing each choreography , including the positioning and clearance of any scenery, must be: 2 min. and 30 seconds (Soloists) –3 minutes (Dance Couple/Duo) – 4 minutes (Dance Group).

If performing a piece of the ballet repertory the dancers are allowed to keep the original music duration.

For the section “Choreographic Composition”, the maximum performance times are: 3 minutes (Soloists/Duos) and 5 minutes (Dance groups)

MUSIC

Art. 20 – The music tracks must be recorded on a CD and brought to the theatre. Each choreography must be recorded and delivered on a single CD. The Organisation is not responsible for unnamed or badly cut tracks.

Art. 21 – If a group/school/association presents more than one choreography, the CDs containing the music must be separate for each choreography and on their cover, observing the instructions indicated above, the “Category” and “Section” must be specified.

Art. 22 – All participants, during their performances may not (under penalty of exclusion): dance on songs that contain advertising messages directly or indirectly (for their school or for third parties); words that offend the common sense of decency (it is recommended, in case of foreign-language songs, to analyze the translation of the text); adopt attitudes and/or movements or use clothing in contrast with the morality and/or in violation of laws and/or rights of third parties too; use objects or wear clothing with advertising on or promotional references directly or indirectly; have contractual obligations and/or commitments with third parties, who have continuous nature concerning their artistic performances (in this case, a release form must be sent).

Art. 23 – The CD must be handed to the sound operators at the pavilion 1 exhibition before the one of their school/dancer (according to the running order of the competition). The organisation will not recognise any rights to the choreographies.

JUDGEMENT AND FINAL CLASSIFICATION

Art. 24 – A panel of judges of dance teachers will evaluate all the categories and sections. The classification and marks of the judges are definitive. The regularity of the voting and counting operations will be guaranteed by the President of the panel of judges. For the assessment of all categories and sections there will be a panel of judges, composed of qualified experts in the field, who are teachers, choreographers and/or famous dance professionals. The classification and votes at the sole discretion of the jury and are not subject to appeal. The guarantor of the regularity of the voting and counting operations is the President of the jury who, in the event of parity, will have decisional power. A dance teacher, who will be drawn at the beginning of the competition, will take part in the counting of votes, in order to ensure maximum transparency.

Art. 25 – Each member of the appointed judging committee will be informed of the methods and parameters of judgement by the President of the panel of judges.

Art. 26 – The competition doesn’t include a previous selection. Every judge will express his vote at the end of every single performance.

Art. 27 – The first 3 classified for each Section/Category will be elected at the end of the competition. The classification, including all the marks of the judges, will be available 10 days after the competition on the website giovanitalentifestival.it

Other prizes may be added to the above-specified list.

The jury has the right not to assign scholarships in case of a lack of deserving participants.

GENERAL RULES

Art. 29 – Start of the competition: the competition will take place on November 26, 2017. The categories Baby and Under will perform from 9:00 a.m.; the categories Junior and Senior will perform from 3.00 p.m. The prizes will be awarded at the end of each category.

Art. 30 – The photography and audiovisual service for the competition is guaranteed by the organisation and is therefore the exclusive property of the latter. During the entire event, it is absolutely forbidden to take photographs or record videos of any kind.

Art. 31 – Upon registering, every contestant or representative of the latter gives up all representational rights and the right to any payment for participation in the competition, and authorises the organisation to acquire and use his/her image for promotional and informative purposes authorised by the legislation in force.

Art. 32 – Participants or their representatives accept all responsibility for their physical fitness. The organizing committee declines all responsibility for damages to people or objects which might occur during the competition, whether caused or endured by those taking part in the competition.

Art. 33 – Upon registering, the group, duo or soloist accepts, without reserve, every clause and all the contents of each article of these rules.

Art. 34 – No stage rehearsals are allowed.

Art. 35 – The contestants will be called to perform by the title of the choreography and entrance number assigned and rigorously following the running order

Art. 36 – The organisation is entitled to change the regulations in order to improve the success of the event. When registering for the event, participants/dance schools-academies/individuals accept the above rules.
